Nor did we seek glory from men, eeihtr from you or from others, when we might have made demands as apostles of Christ. This is refering to Paul, Timothy & Silas (1 Thess 1:1 Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy, To the church of the Thessalonians in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ). In 2 Cor 8:23 Paul calls Titus an apostle the word in English messenger is the Greek word apostolos, which is, of course, the word apostle.2 Cor 8:23 Whether any do inquire of Titus, he is my partner and fellowhelper concerning you: or our brethren be inquired of, they are the messengers of the churches, and the glory of Christ. It is interesting that you write that you choose to believe But what do you base this choice upon? You may be right, but we all need to base our doctrines upon the scriptures. There are certainly scriptures that may be used to support your position, just as there are scriptures which may be used to support another position. However, as workmen of the word we need to search the scriptures to see if eeihtr of these positions is so.
