May 2 - June 27, 2010

Old Testament: 1 Samuel

The Old Testament study continues with the Israelites' persistent desire to have an earthly king, and how God patiently gave them Saul, followed by David.  This book is rich in meaningful application as we see that there is much to be learned from history.

Led by Robert Rucker in Annex Room #1.

Bethel Bible Series - presented at 9:30 and 10:45

This 2-year course began in September, studying the Old and New Testaments with a unique overview approach that immerses the student in the Bible. The first year covers the Old Testament and the Intertestamental Period, and the New Testament is covered in year two. The cost for Old Testament materials is $47 and New Testament is $35. While this current course is not taking in new students, we will offer new sessions in the fall for those who wish to begin this in-depth study.
Led by Richard Leslie in Annex Room 2.

"Under Cover"

Is it difficult for you to submit to authority, especially if you disagree with the opinion or politics of the authoritive figure?  Since rebellion is so ingrained in our culture, it is not often understood that this is really a spiritual issue.  This class deals with the promise of being under the cover of God's protection as we understand and submit to His authority.
Led by Bob and Nancy Hartman in Annex Room 3.

Discover St. Timothy

Our faith community wants to partner with you in its mission to the community and ministry to our church family.  This course explores the primary purpose for our existence, the basic beliefs of our church body, and offers you the opportunity to learn more about your God-given gifts to serve Him and His people.  At the conclusion of this class, you will be invited to become partners in mission with St. Timothy.

Led by Gloria Ruppel in Annex Room 4.

Women's Class

This class will continue their study by Elizabeth George, Breaking the Worry Habit...Forever. Topics include: changing your focus; finding the positive in negative situations; developing proactive skills to head off anxiety; and understanding that Christ is always with us.  It's hard to “let go and let God,” but this study will offer practical step-by-step advice to help develop trust in the Lord and keep annoying worry and runaway fear in check with help with Biblical insights and principles.
Led by Harriet Hamblin in the Office Conference Room.

Pastor's Class: Minor Prophets

The Old Testament Minor prophets, Micah and Habakkuk: Who are they?  Why should I care what they wrote over 2,500 years ago?  What relevance do their words have for my life today?  Micah and Habakkuk are two important books that speak directly to us and to our culture in America today.

Led by Pastor Steve Henze in the Life Center.
