Children:  Pit Stop Bible classes for children 3 years thru 5th grade will include Singing, Bible study, and fun activities!

Infants:  A nursery is provided for infants and toddler thru 36 months of age.

What and When is it?
This is a weekend retreat from Friday, October 22 through Sunday, October 24 at the Heartland Country Inn in Brenham.  This year's special guest speaker is Shannon Perry and she will be presenting us with her "If the Shoe Fits" topics.

Who is it for?
Women of all ages and walks of life are invited to attend.

How much does it cost?
The cost is $135* for 2 nights of lodging and 4 meals if you register and pay on or before September 15; on September 16, the cost will be $145* to ensure that we have enough supplies on hand for all participants.  Make checks payable to St. Timothy Lutheran Church and write "Women's Retreat" in the memo field.  If you prefer, you can set up a payment plan by contacting Dianne Kingsley at 281-444-3737.  Scholarships will also available on a limited basis through Gloria.

*Note: registrants may pay above and beyond this base registration fee to cover the cost of scholarships for other participants and event materials.

What do I need to bring?
In addition to clothing, overnight items, and toiletries, you should also bring:

• your Bible
• your pillow, if preferred
• a light jacket
• comfortable/walkng shoes
• a pair of inexpensive flip-flops for our craft
• a snack to share
• any special drinks (water will be provided)
• money for Friday dinner and Sunday lunch
• your sense of humor and a tender heart

Beginning Sunday, June 20, Pastor Steve will begin a summer sermon series on the Ten Commandments.  Each new "episode" takes a story from the headlines and attempts to solve the crime.  Each week in this series, we will unpack each of God's Clear Commands and apply them specifically to our daily lives and to headlines in the news.

A recent poll of evangelical Christians revealed 86% could name only four of the Ten Commandments.  Most Americans that are not Christians are almost completely ignorant of the commandments and therefore are also ignorant about His Love, His will for us, and His design for our lives.

Knowing God's Law & Order is vial to live out our faith the way He has called us to live.  It will also guide you each day at work, at school, in your neighborhoods, and in your homes and families.  So please join us each week in the Sanctuary as we study the Ten Commandments together.

Each camp is Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 12 PM.

Kids go on a vast voyage through God’s Word as they participate in memorable Bible-learning activities, sing catchy songs, play teamwork-building games, dig into yummy treats, experience electrifying Bible adventures, collect Bible Memory Buddies to remind them of God’s Word, and create Bible Point crafts they’ll take home and play with all summer long.

Plus, kids will learn to look for evidence of God all around them through something called God Sightings. Each day concludes at The Floating Finale—a celebration that gets everyone involved in living what they’ve learned.

Maundy Thursday Services - We will reexamine Jesus' last supper with His disciples and share Holy Communion together in honor of our Lord's sacrifice and His gift of salvation to us. 

Friday, April 2 at 11:30 a.m. and 6:45 p.m.

Good Friday Tenebrae, at 11:30 a.m. and 6:45 p.m. in the Sanctuary - This is the traditional "service of darkness" that has become part of St. Timothy's Holy Week worship.  We end in darkness and silence to quietly reflect on the meaning of Jesus' sacrifice for us.

Sunday, April 4 beginning at 7:30 a.m.

Our Traditional Resurrection Breakfast will be served from 7:30 to 10:00 a.m. in the Life Center - The Youth of St. Timothy will be preparing and serving breakfast. 
All proceeds from the free-will offering will benefit the youth mission trip to Arizona this July.

Resurrection Sunday Celebrations at 8:00 and 10:45 a.m. in the Sanctuary -These services are led by the St. Timothy Festival Choir, the Woodlands Brass, the Voices in Bronze Bell Choir, and the Praise Team.  Holy Communion will take place in the 8:00 service.

The Connections worship gathering in the Life Center at 10:45 a.m. is a more casual worship environment.  On this special day, we will have a great celebration of the victory of Jesus with a variety of musical styles.  It will all be led by the Holy Spirit as He works through Chris, the multiple instruments and the Connections Worship Team. 

Join us for all the services, and please invite friends, family members, and coworkers to join you for
this glorious week of reflection, prayer, praise and worship to our Lord!

Calling all kids from 36 months through 5th Grade!

Each week of Pit Stop we learn about power…real power…the power of God’s Son, Jesus.  And yes, there are crafts, cooking and plenty of fun!  

Tell your parents to make plans to join us for Pit Stop each Wednesday where there's something for everyone!

Nursery care is provided for all babies from 6 weeks to 36 months of age.

Your work and love of children made this year’s VBS a huge success!  The theme was “Crocodile Dock, Where Fearless Kids Shine God’s Light.”  Each day had a power point such as “God is powerful,” and “God always does what he says he will do.”  This VBS curriculum from Group Publishing was excellent and it was even more so with your help!

In past years, we would have close to 100 children, but this year we made it over the hump! We had 137 children registered with the highest attendance for one day at 121.  On top of that, there were 57 adults, teens and tweens also here each day. The kitchen churned out 150-160 snacks every day!

Of the enrollment, 93 children were not from our congregation.  That gives us 68% outreach from VBS.  Some of the children and their families have also been back to worship with us!

The very sturdy dock, built by Randy Thacker, will be used again next year when we use Group Publishing’s “High Seas” VBS theme.  We will all be pirates!  Mark your calendars for our 2010 VBS from July 12 through July 16.
